Our story

I enjoy working as a STEM instructor because I love solving puzzles and working with people. I have enjoyed math since I was a child and I love seeing students with the same passion that I had as a kid. My teaching philosophy is to keep class fun and incorporate humor and joy into each lesson. 

Our Tutor

Roma Moore, B.A., HTL

Roma studied at the University of California, Berkeley majoring in Pure Mathematics and Molecular and Cell Biology with a minor in the History of Art. Certified Histotechnologist with the American Society of Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) 

 

She is currently a professor in the Bioscience department at Merritt College, where she serves as the education coordinator and teaches Microscopy and Histology. Merritt College is one of two Histology programs in California. 

 

Previously, she was math tutor at Compass Prep and Bay Area Learning Partners for mainly grades 4th-12th and has had more than 100 students. She has worked to help students prepare for tests such as the SAT, ACT, AP Calculus, AP Physics, SSAT, HSPT, and SAT Math Subject Tests. I also have been an academic support tutor for AP & College level Calculus, Geometry, Algebra II, AP Chemistry and AP Biology. I have experience working with students with neuro divergences such as ADHD, autism, OCD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, hard of hearing, and OCD.
